SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF TURKEY AND SYRIA

We learned with emotion of the appalling catastrophe that struck the peoples of Turkey and Syria on Monday 6 February. At the time of writing, according to official figures, nearly 25,000 people have died and 80,000 have been injured, while 5 million people have been left homeless.
We present to all the workers and peoples of both countries, to our communist comrades, especially from your organizations, our condolences and our support in this ordeal.
In Turkey, the communists and their organizations TKP and TKG demonstrate once again that "only the people save the people!" While the Erdogan regime multiplies repressive actions to fight against looting and begs for international aid, the people left to their own devices are organizing. TKP and TKG are in the front line, together with other progressive organizations, to ensure immediate solidarity.
In Syria, the people find themselves in a catastrophic situation, the natural disaster added to a situation of war fueled for years by the various imperialist powers.
The imperialists pretend to put aside their differences while international aid is delivered. The reality is that inter-imperialist contradictions never cease and control of humanitarian aid is a major issue.
The peoples have nothing to expect from the bourgeois governments, the imperialist powers and their alliances.
ONLY THE PEOPLE SAVE THE PEOPLE
